Fished last till high water at the Bellhole Horden, Come away with 8 codling biggest being 4lb and the rest between 1lb 1/2 to 3lb. Me pal had 6 as well around the same weight... Would have stopped a bit longer but getting murdered by whiting at the top of the water.. Good night......

Nice one lads ,I work with a few lads from that way and have quizzed them about the beach , only thing I found out is where the best place to park is as they don't fish lol.

Go South young man. The beaches are paved with gold and the sea is full of fish sometimes, really! (Possibly Iron Pyrites the gold like) Some of the best shots in the NE down that way but they don't often get discussed here. Me and Geordie fished Hall Beach a couple of weeks ago and it was a cracking session.

Well it wasn't really as we caught nowt and Geordie locked me keys in the car at 3am just as the rain came down. Only £20 to get a taxi to come out from Washington with the spare though so result One saving grace was the fact that Geordie was worried the lads down the club would get to hear, he was safe as I don't frequent said establishment so I saw him relax somewhat. The taxi driver pulled up laughing his nob off, wound the window down and said "Hello Geordie, wait till I tell the lads down the club" The sky brightened somewhat and the rain seemed less wet for a moment.

I digress

Great Beach fishing all down that way, they might not be as pretty as some of the norhumberlandy beaches but they have their own type of beauty.

I am not on drugs yet by the way.

If you want any info about the colliery beaches give me a bell, I'll gladly tell you where and when to fish.. Mostly fish Horden but also shit hot on Blackhall, Crimdon and a bit on the Easington marks..

i do a lot of fishing from the hall beach down to easington ...got a few nice marks near hawthorn that i regularly fish ,with some pretty good results.

aye i've fish Easington quite a bit but mostly in the opens as our club boundries stop at the BELLHOLE. Normally fish 12 foots or the facings at Easington. Where do you normally fish???

My usual haunt is the Horseback,that big chunk of rock in the sea just south of Hawthorn Point.

I will be going there on thursday i reckon,as ive managed the wangle the night off work.
