Got a few mates running the Great North Run tomorrow and I've even set myself a target to be fit this time next year so that I can hopefully run it as well :o

...anywho, was walking round town today when I heard the unmistakable roar of fast jets flying low over head...we turned onto Pilgrim Street only to see the Red Arrows flying in formation, burning the coloured smoke over the Tyne Bridge...all it needed was Local Hero playing over the backdrop and you'd have seen a grown man with a lump in his throat and a tear in his eye - Beautiful :D

Good Luck to all taking part - my money is going to Help the Heroes...a forces charity

its little things like this that make me feel proud to be british & northern , it always gets me when you see the wheelchair lads n lasses coming over the tyne bridge first .there will be loads of heros in the toon the morra morning & good luck to everyone of them ( and to you for next year )
