Loch Awe

Any body fished Loch Awe. Any tips are good spots to fish for trout and pike.

I’ve fished it several years ago. You get a map with the permit which gives info on where to try. We hired a boat and did well drifting along the shore line with a floating line and traditional wet flies. The loch is very deep and is rumoured to hold large ferrox by the fish cages.
Fishing from the bank produced a load of small brownies, perch and unbearable midges.
