well col (jacky chan), bigpaul, davey dangler, jv and myself had a few days up loch etive in search spurs, something which neither any of us had caught, it was'nt really the best time of year for this area but we still were willing to give it a go, the first mark we stoped at we would be fishing in more than 250ft of water

i'd just like to start by saying a massive thank you to this man john, he assured all of us we would have a spur by the end of the seshion and he was right too, hope to meet up with you in the near future

i was starting to think it was going to be one of those nights, i was getting loads of takes just could'nt connect or the ones i did connect with spat the hook, i did manage one though and was over the moon to get my first spur, not a monster mind lads but very welcome
round about 2 1/2lbs, mind i'll have to learn how to hold these spurs properly for the camera its just i was very nervous at the time after hearing a few stories about the spurs (spikes) on them

followed by one of my best moments of the trip, if you look closely you can see a light in the water, well its not a light lads its a spur swimming to the top of the surface to say hello, if i was a few seconds earlier there was a few there
