The tackle shop in Loch Gilphead is good for gear, bait and advice. The guy in there will show you where the marks are on his map. It's in the town center, can't miss it.
When I was there we fished a mark a bit further north up the loch. Follow the A83 until you hit a place with only a few houses called Port Ann. There is a small car park on the right. It's a 20 minute walk along the path through the woods to the point. You can scramble down and fish from the rocks. We had doggies, codling, mackerel but I am sure you will get other species there too.
Further north is the village of Furnace. Drive through the village to the quarry. You can fish off the front of there. It is where the Scottish record Pollack was caught.
Some people say the fishing in Loch Fyne is not so good nowadays but you still see catch reports with decent fish in them so don't let that put you off. Have fun mate and I hope you get the big one.
