long clipped down rig

wanting a rig with a long hook snood clipped down on a impact shield.theres a rig where the hook snood is tied onto a swivel thats trapped between two beads right next to the impact shield, the hook snood then goes up the rig body and clips on a swivel next to a pully bead then goes back down to the impact shield.bit like a pully dropper but you end up with a really long hook snood thats attatched just above the lead.anyone know what im on about--lol.and if so the best way to tie it up

When I use a snood attached above the lead I just use a breakaway relay clip and then clip the hook down with a bent rig clip attached to the lead. So if you have a 3 foot trace you can have snood up to nearly 6 foot if you want. You could use an impact shield as well but I have found it unnecessary.

Just use a cascade swivel upside down and crimped up the top of the rig with bead in the middle or a genie bent lead link upside down on a swivel crimped the same way.

its to use with sand eel/bluey and to give it a good whack, think the impact shield helps streamline everything, ive seen the exact rig online but cant find it again--lol

It is pretty streamlined with the bait tucked in just above the lead, unless its huge! Cheap as well, not many bits to it. I've used rigs like this for years with no problems;)

i have used an up and over long hook rig for years now it seems to pick up better stamp of fish and particulary like it in the tyne resulting in some good coalies.

there is a fixed version plus another similar one designed in a pulley sort of fashion hook snood can be very long and still casts out great and with big baits positioned behind lead.

important bit of rig set up for me is the release system at top of rig.

can explain how to make and pics wouldnt show up properly,i actualy copied this set up after seen pics of gemini rigs but looked last nite on google for someone else but could not find what i was after unfortunately.
