Lower Tyne Estuary 21/3/07

Fished the "lower Tyne" last night from 8:30-00:00. The tide was ripping out, making it hard to hold bottom, though there was a nice swell running into the river. Had 1 codling just over 2 lb on lug/mussel & squid cocktail. Hard work considering the conditions, think the winter season is just about done.

Bad luck John, I was hoping to have a look out tonight but not too well so it will have to wait. I am sure there must be a few decent bags to be landed yet mate.

i was in thje tyne fri neet had 3 small codling and a canny coley about 2lb
