about 20 yrs ago we would be there every weekend, it wasnt bad even in the summer with the odd codling, plenty dabs,coalys, and mackkies at 1st light not to mention all the big pouting, of which seem to have gone from the venue. if you catch it right i dare say you will still get the odd cod, flats,@ mackkies from now on through until the winter biggies turn up, hope this helps a little cheers korky..

I have no idea where you mean but when I passed the northern end on the way back into the river on Monday evening lads were lifting strings of mackerel three at a time. There’s a big swell running now though so the beaches or further up the river would be a better option.

Just come back from the walkway, only had small coalies and seen 1 small codling, very poor

got 13 fish 7 sized 4 being codling all only about 38 cm like all went back alive
