Day off today, so I dropped the bairn off at school, picked up my gear and pocket-in set and headed down the coast. The Pocket-in sets are really handy, you can literally take your rod, reel a small multi tool and that 4" box and that's all you need! Handy for holidays abroad too!

Got there about 9.10am just on LW. It's was only about 2deg C and there was a 20mph SE icy wind blowing right in my face, which was fun because it felt about -20degC!

Wind was whipping up a nice sea, should be some canny Cod fishing tonight!, water was murky though, so I opted to try the white 'glow in the dark' Straw Tail Grub.

Any way 4 chucks resulted in 3 Long Spined Sea Scorpions, so with no blank I decided to retreat away from the wind and head down the river in the hope of some Flatties. Got to the south bank of the river to find the water still to low to fish where I wanted too. So back in the car and home in total a 90 minute excursion.

Iv decided to get all artistic with the pics too... :D

That your banker spot producing again?

WELL DONE IN JUST GETTING OUT IN THAT. Might have a dodge down later, tide is wrong, but I'm just to try and get shot of my bad heed from last nights works do.

I think I managed to get away with it before it turned really nasty! Yeah, it was! ;)
