Lucky day

Just left Billy's at dinner time today with Haddock and chips and parked up on the slip to the beach, both car widows down and munching away, admiring the low tide view and then a figure appears blocking me view of the beach, looked up and it was a parking warden proging away at his ticket issuing machine, I nearly sh*t myself and said here mate I've only been here for a minute (Haddock half eaten like), he said you aint mate, I followed you down and you've been here for at least 7 min. Didn't say out to that and just jestured OK I've been captured. Guys still proging away at his ticket machine and then said do you want to go and buy a parking ticket? I was out the car and up the bank like the roadrunner to the ticket machine and said cheers to the guy who replied I didn't want to spoil yer dinner, a 60p ticket is better than a £50 quid fine.

Either he was a nice parking warden, his ticket machine conked out or he was having a laugh.:D

maybe he thought that you would have left the haddock and chips while you went for ya ticket. lol.

That is a very good point mate, not that I thought about it at the time (to busy scrambling up the bank to the ticket m/c) but in retrospect 1/2 eaten haddock for a £50 ticket reprieve sounds a canny deal to me.:D

The wardens are really sh-t hot around Whitley Bay and Tynemouth so would always buy a ticket if required.

A lad got done for parking outside our house on Whitley Road last Bank Holiday Monday. You are allowed to park up on a Sunday and this lad thought it would also apply to a Bank Holiday.

NOOOOOOO - he got a parking fine. So be careful !!!!
