fished lynemouth last night with acouple of lads.i fished about 200yrds or so to the right of the pipe, started fishing about 5pm.first 4hrs resulted in 6 coalies 3 of which were just size and a half decent flounder just over 1lb.the other lads fished the middle of the beach.one of the lads had his young son with him,he's only about 8yr old and he was the first 1 to catch a fish a coalie just under.an hour after high tide 1 lad pulled in a 2lb codling so i decided 2 walk along and join them.after an hour or so 1 lad wound in resulting in him winding 2 others gear in when he pulled it up the beach there was a big tangle with a 2lb codling amonst it.when it was untangled the fish was on his youngns hook.next there was a small bass pulled in.about 1am everyone had enough so last cast was called and the lad who caught the first 2lber only went and pulled another in about the same size,by this time i was losing the will 2 live then out of the corner of my eye i noticed an almight tug on my rod.picked up the rod but nowt happened no bite no slack line no nowt, held the rod for a good 5mins,still nowt so decided 2 pull in anyway as everyone else had packed up and were waiting for me.started winding in what felt like a dead weight, got it about half way in then started 2 fight, fish on and better late than never.weighed it when i got home 6lb-02oz
