Fished Lynemouth from 1pm-6.30pm using Johns from ID fishing wrapped runnydown.
A cracking day,a lovely roll on but a bright sunny day,no matter I had 4 cod best 2.5lb to 1.3/4lb and a bar of silver a small bass and a flatty both returned safely.
What a lovely day to be out fishing, and this is Lynemouth in one of it's good moods.Loads of weed at the shore line so had to keep your line well up out of the surf at first up to and just over high water.
After that weed moved north on the ebb and had no more problem with it.
all the cod came in daylight the bass and flatty after dark, was getting loads of bites just before leaving but had to go...things to do and all that, but this was a great days fishing not just the catching but the day its self... big smiles driving home:):):)

Well done mate good catch, you had mor luck than me, was there a few weeks ago, fishing the south beach just to the right of the pipe, had nothing all day, until got dark, had a cracking bite but lost it on the retreive, and just cought 1 small coaly, me mate got one small flatty, defo go back ( let it beat me, lol) but maybe try the north beach, where abouts were you fishing

If you park at the travellers site, drive into site and park at the entrance but leave plenty of room for them to past and don't block off and access to the trailers and things.
Keep looking at the vans and someone will make contact, just ask if its ok to park there,I've never had a problem at all.
They will also look after your car more so if you drop them a cod or two.
Walk over towards the beach you will see a pathway follow that, thats about where I was.
Its about halfway between boghall rocks and just to the right of the railway hole.
I never got any snags at all but this beach changes all the time.
Tight lines.

Keen where you parked but well done mate on the catch, lucky your car was still fine.

So why do you say that about the car,Ive parked my car there when it was at the old travellers site and at the new site never ever had any problems.
Think about it man do you think they are going to sh1te on there own doorstep.
They are decent people and I know them well as does lots of other anglers that fish this beach.
Have you ever parked there??

I agree Harry, my mate used to fish there regular and the old site was his regular parking spot, he never had a problem in all the times he fished there. I would'nt have a second thought about parking there mate.

Jim.

I know that Jim,we parked up one early morning to fish a match at the old site, went onto the beach and one hour later one of the travellers came along the beach and asked me did I know who car this reg was, well it was my mates and me thinking the worst asked him what was wrong.
He said to me he's left his lights on and didn't want him returning to a flat battery.......bad people aren't they.
It speaks volumes :)
