Lynemouth.

Decided to give Lynemouth a shot tonight for the first time. Got down for about 6 to fish the tide out. There was still a bit swell kicking around so thought it would be a decent call.

Only ended up with one codling around 38cm and I lost one in the surf which felt a similar size. I think I'll probably give it another shot sometime but try a different place on the beach as I felt I wasn't in the best spot. Left at about half 9. Bait used was crab & cart.

For the last few years Lynemouth has disappointed me and others, as when the conditions seemed perfect it hasn't fished at all. Hopefully this season it has gone back to what it used to fish like and be more predictable.
At least one or two fish means they are there, where as a blank is frustrating.

Should fish OK during the day with a bit of sea on! A couple of years ago I saw the 2 biggest fish I have seen off there during the day 8.5 lb and 10.5 lb. Not caught by me though!!

Yeah I suppose so. Surely they're is marks on the beach with a bit rougher ground that'll fish better too.

at least you sussed it out and got a fish I used to like in front of the power station before the sea defences where there haven't had as good sessions on the beach to the south might just been fish weren't on at least its a change from SS pier

Yeah I know I'm gonna try the south of the beach then the north. Both ends looks a lot fishier than where I fished. Aha yeah gonna try and fish other places rather than the pier all the time.
