Gary Blanchard called at my place and we travelled up to Lynemouth, got there for hw in my 4x4.
Nice north roll and being top water we planned to fish it down,I like this on this beach.
We fished north end just south of a sandbar with sea braking at distance one of my fav marks.
First time fishing with Gary and I must say very impressed with his casting and his good company.
He's using a Zeteque su gt glass tip the exact tip I got off big jay and I must comment on his casting.

Distance he was casting was extreme indeed, considering winter gear on,steep shelving beach, unsure underfoot with moving sand, cross wind from the north as well.
two Hastings blacks and tipped with rag, on 175g sinker a fair load to cast out
he was hitting the 200yds without doubt.
We ended up with 6 cod small one knocked deep hooked and a few flats all returned.
we fished from 3pm to 7pm and enjoyed the sesh but had to put up with Gary yapping on all the time...lol.
We doing Seaham southend tomorrow,hopefully.

Nice one Harry. Been a bit 'hit and miss' for me this year. With more misses! Fishing for cod in perfect conditions most I've managed is 3 I think on a few occasions. No big bags or quality fish either.

Been pretty poor really. Lack of fish catch reports on here for this time of year is shocking considering the seas we've had.

Garys been on fire this year Harry at the tournaments,Himself and Alan Varley,Steve Lewis, incredible to watch......Did you show him how to go on Harry:D

Can you drive right down in the 4x4 ?

Yes very easy mate, drive to the travellers site gateway turn a sharp rh head for the beach and get up a little rise and follow the track to the beach.

Only problem due to heavy rain it's washed big ruts into the track going onto the beach....take care.

Best way Steve, have a look in daylight first mate.
What I did find I bumped my way down over these deep ruts onto the beach and moved along south a couple 100yds,when I looked back at the bank there was a much better get down/up south of the old track..have a walk on and go south a wee bit.

impressive casting that like harry i seen a lad doing aroundd the same but not with a big bait its unreal when you cant see the lead hit the water lol
