Fished the beach last night it was almost impossible to detect bites because of the wind, second chuck put the rod in the stand and held the line felt 2 large tugs then nowt reeled in a few minutes later to find a nice 2lb codling on the end, then it went quiet for a couple of hours.by 10pm everone had left buched a load of lug on tipped it with white worm again held the line again 2 large tugs then nowt for a couple of minutes then it went again struck felt a bit of weight on the end pulled in a nice plump 4lb codling, had enough bait for another cast unfortunetly i cracked off never mind 2 nice fish and my blank run has now ended.bait use was lug frozen crab and white worm also scrapped the pully rig after a few missed bites and lost fish for a plane pennel rig clipped down

it was wild lost a glove, bait bucket lid and a tupperware tub due to the wind holding the rod was out of the question could onlt feel bites hold the line but that runs the risk of the line getting caught up in bolders, just standing up was difficult
