7am start and me and a mate straight off to fish the wrecks, weather was great and the sea was like glass. We were finding it hard to tempt them and moved around quite a bit with no improvement. I decided to return to our first wreck and it turned out the right choice. We ended up with 10 cod between 4 and 8lb and 12 ling to 15lb with three over 10lb plus loads of mackies.:red:

Sounds like a canny trip out ! some nice fish there well done

what I found is, as ridiculous as it might sound, is that connecting one of those fladen Mackie spinners 30g or similar to a jigger in place of a treble or big single is having fantastic results. Even with the small treble on I hardly lose any fish and they are a decent size fish. Sounds crazy I know but it works. try it. I've had doubles cod and ling on them. they really nail them. just don't jig too hard and you will get them.
