took a mate out from h'pool yesterday and decided to try out my planer board in the shallows. Immediately caught a Mackie. Fished all day in shallow water(not planing) and ended up with over 30 cod to 7lb and several mackies. Decided to have a daft hour planing before going in and we bagged another 5 Pollock to 5lb with more slipping the hook. Very good day and good fun.
