After a near month break I took two friends out yesterday from Hartlepool marina at 7am. Fished a few wrecks at 6-7 mile and steadily pulled up very nice plump cod. Called it a day at 2.30pm as the wind picked up and the sea got a bit raggie. We ended up with about 40 cod up to 12lb(looked a lot bigger) and a couple around the 10lb mark plus a few small ling and one 15lb ling. Not a single mackerel. Seems to be plenty of fish around and getting bigger. A good day out.
