Mackerel at Blyth??

Does anyone know if there are many mackerel showing at Blyth pier yet? If so what tide and what time of day is best?
I normally go to Dunstanbourgh Castle but my wife is due to go into labour any time now so i need to stay close to home...Cheers.

I think there are mackerel everywhere ,Tim from Frasers got some on Whitley pipe before snapping his rod oops he told me not to tell anyone

It was absolutely hotching with mackerel at blyth pier last night on the flood tide. Take some waterproofs you'll need them. About 7pm if i'm not mistaken.

lynburn is a good hoy m8 deep beach at hi water jst follow the gulls up and down the beach with all the room u need
