Went to shields pier yesturday spining with dappa not mackerel but lots of sandell about got about 50 loads of chavs

was out on a boat yesterday, you couldnt get you gear through the macky to the sea bed, was only about 1.5 - 2 mile out.

took 9 home on me last session out and 6 yesterday so 30 fillets will do me for the winter

Aye they be back shortly in numbers off the piers if the weather settles and water clears up.

fished roker pier early hours yesterday,from 3.00am til 9am,took home 25 macky,quite a few fishing,but the macky seemed to be taken at range,so i think i got enough macky in the freezer now,71 lovely juicy fillets lying waiting to be used lol

71 wheres the rest gone ya must of eat them cos ya was down every morning and must of had atleast a 100 by now

The odd 1 is a worry, was there half a fish swimming around? Be like something off Hellraiser!

Sadly I'm now wondering which half it is, the "Fi" or the "sh"???

I have'nt had one yet every time i go down water is scruffy

i got 63 fillets in the freezer this is due to is already using some not the odd fish lol.

Apparently there showing in good numbers off s/s peir now. Either early morning or last thing at night. Canny size as well upto 2lb is the norm ;-)

So you can get down and catch ya winter stock before the scum arrive
