Well Lynn and I woke up to a surprisingly beautiful day today, so we decided to take a boat trip to Dunoon and a bus trip to Blairmore for lunch. We can do this now that I have stepped aside from Kayos Theatre and our weekends are our own again.
Last year on the pier I had been told that the Mackerel had made a brief appearance in late May and then disappeared again until July. Well I knew they had disappeared until July, as we blanked a few times last year in June!
Anyway I took my rod and reel, plus a couple of spinners in my "man bag" - much to Lynn's amusement!
The boat trip was great, the lunch just as good. The cafe was shut when we arrived off the bus, but thankfully it opened 10 mins later!

After lunch I couldn't resist a wee go down the pier! Lynn was sceptical to say the least!
Haha, I caught two Mackerel in two casts, then nothing for an hour, so off we went home on the bus, happy with a great day!

Oops, there's my pink crocs again!!
So whisper it ever so quietly - the mackies might be in!
