Not a recipe but there is a fishmonger van in Seaham on Fridays that sells mackerell patte me being dubious bought some the lad told ne to layer it on toast ive just had some this morning and it was out of this world by far the best method of mackerell i have had yet i shall be back down next Friday for more

Bake the mackerel, flake, mix in cream cheese, spring onion, salt, pepper and chilli. Easy peasy and beautiful.
