talking to one of my mates about macky ,he said he caught one beside marina at rathouse i think its bull told him they dont go anywhere near rivers but he said sometimes ?????any thoughts

Mate of mine had 3 off the ratty today, pilot house side. Big one's too.

well they do get them in the bay side off roker so i carnt see why they wont get them off ratty

seen the odd ones caught quite far into blyth harbour... oddly not the target species but had taken baited hooks (perhaps on the retrieve)..
