in all seriousness - might have to get myself an early morning session arranged with the bairn in a few weeks - he is still to break his duck with the sea/shore fishing. He has caught a few trout from still water at fontburn but it was late in the year when he tried the piers with me last year. Off to Eyemouth this weekend but I can't see us getting any up there from the rocks - more likely pollock I reckon.
 
think yous might hit it lucky.good mate of mine says,there catching off the rock edges NOW,seems funny how us locally havent had any off our local piers.

Will report back when I get home on Sunday then - was only going to take jellies and shads up with me, but might take some daylights as well in that case and give it a try :)
 
what a day we had today out on yaks.

my yuki got snagged and i pulled to hard it snapped lol but still managed to pull my maki in only managed 8 today as Jeffs paddle snapped and had to get a lift to shore of coast guard these blokes were sound and enjoyed helping him for the training, where i had to paddle back in lol my arms are killing now but what a fun day cant wait to do it again :)
tested my camera under the water today and worked spot on so next time will hopefully get some good shots,

That yuki is gonna end up about 2 foot long with one eye n a reel seat!!!

I lasted about an hour on pier cos of the poxy wind. You sure jeff didn't snap his paddle on purpose to get the tow back?
 
it totaly snapped when paddling i was like ok cya lol
na he was totaly knackered and tide was dragging him out so we waved them down to give him a lift :) my yuki has lost 4 eyes now might have to get another one now lol
