they do exist, but I doubt very much you\'ll get your mits on one. I do some work now and then for the UKHO in bristol. They have surveyed most of the UK waters using some fairly sophisticated sidescan gear to poduce 3d maps. The main beneficiary is the petrochemical industry. The images are fairly awesome, with a resolution down to 50cm in places, and that was in 150metres of water.

Whether they ever go public with them and produce charts alongside their admiralty charts is another thing.

Every time I\'ve been down there I\'ve tried to cadge some data off them but they keep it all fairly close to their chest, they do have what must be the ultimate \'plotter\' though for their in house art work production, go to any single point in the world virtually at scales I didn\'t even know they had done
