Fished the stone steps from 2.30 until 7.00, about an hour into the session i was sitting daydreaming when the rod practically took off, i struck and thought straight away this is a pb, struggling to reel in i got it about 30 yards from shore and it threw the hook (mega swear words and cursing), i always use pennel pulleys but this time switched to a single dropper, never again at least the second hook may have caught, ended up with a small flatty and soaking feet, but i guess thats fishing, will be there wed & thurs to see if he's still there ha ha.

Unlucky loosing the fish mate, at least you know your doing the right things to get the fish.

What a barsteward. I still think about the big one i lost wrecking at Whitby. I would have won the compo and got a personal best. Still thats fishing.

i lost a decent fish on sunday night from there mate ,it seemed like it was about 5lb ish ,next cast i had a 3lb coddling ,the bigger fish snagged me up i let lots of line out walked up and down the beach couldn,t get it out just got to keep going tou will get him

9lb cod from 3rd bay the other day m8... they are there... keep trying bud.. think ill be down there sunday 3pm till 8.. maybe near the rock or in one of the bays depending on the tide
