Me and Julie headed down marsden this afternoon for a few hours out
waste of time as we got down there there was a boat about 200 yards
off the shore netting why that far in gets me any way we were there so
we give it ago we had a few bites that was it we had scratching rigs on and
still had nowt LOL. still canny few hours out with our lass done her the world
of good and took her mind off things.

the thing is why is a boat that close in i know they have a livelihood and that but why
200 yards from the shore ya could here them talking they where that close it if
i had a snap off it would of went past them it p*** me off that any way thats
it for me.

i think its shocking netting across beaches and popular angling marks, a selfish act of a few spoils a sport for many, very inconsiderate.

Even if the netted at 90degree angle to the beach, maybes we would still get a little sport!

they need to make a living
they sell the fish to anyone, pay no tax,and take anything that swims
all under size lobsters aswell

My mate paid £7000 for a license to net with a 30ft coble which stays with the boat till he sells it,and it gets higher the bigger the boat.
And the fisheries officers are sh!t hot when it comes to checking his gear and catch. He has a quota the same as the big trawlers.
Times have changed mate, its not like years ago when anyone could stick a net in the sea for nowt and take as much as they wanted.....

Sorry Bushwacker I'm agreeing with Sless and Eddie!!!! That boat is catching only one type of fish BLACK!!!!! and killing our sport at the same time.

should have to put there net 5-10 mile out not a few 100 yards off shore, same with the lobster pots was on shields pier other day and see the south east corner has a few pots about 80 yards out so its not going to be very good there on the flood
