Hi just wondered if anyone has bought anything from an EBay seller Davey's fishing tackle ? He is based in the North East. He has a Maxximus listed for sale. The only worry I have is what Lb range to go for. The one for sale is 50lb ... Is this too heavy ?? Cheers as always

Ive had loads of things and never any problems. As for the rod in my opinion 50lb rod is very heavy unless you intend going for big conger down south.I always found a 20-30lb rod more than enough.

The solid carbon rods are very light, think mines rated 20-50lb and it feels like a normal 15lb rod.

Aye your right Keith, although the rating seems high at 12-50 lb the Fladen Maximus carbon rods are so very thin, and having the higher rating gives you a bit more confidence when hammering the wrecks and hard ground.

20 - 60 1 piece solid carbon still have a very sensitive tip and are ideal for heavy wrecking,a couple on ebay for £60 a good price me thinks.
