Was thinking of giving it a go tomorrow to head out, it's been a while since we've been out because of this rubbish weather. Thought it didn't look too bad tomorrow, does anyone reckon its worth a go or will it still be a bit dodgey.

Cheers Paul. Don't think I'll bother then, just getting itching to get back out but defo not worth the risk. Just wish this weather would change, it was lovely this time last year.

Even if you could get out tomorrow, tides small, no visibility in water, cold, you would be out there alone. Nar, better off waiting till things are calmer and warmer, so if there are no fish, it would be nice just being out.

Coldest March is 30 years or something they are now saying. On the plus side a cold snap will do wonders for the cod spawning.

I never start until early April anyway but like to be pottering around the boat for at least 2 weeks before the first trip and its just too bloody cold at the moment with more snow thou light and melting straight away at the weekend. The marina is green with algi so that shows how few boats have been using it this winter.

The weather will soon be here and not long after the fish and we will all be out there pulling them in :)

Since i have been abit bored with this weather i have just read all of Aprils catch reports from 2012 and i know it was not a good year but boy it was hard going from reading them reports.Lets hope this cold spell goes we get sunny weather flat sea's and soem fish unlike last year :)

Hoping to get out as soon as it drops off, get a few baits in the water, and try for a cod bigger than 4lb :D

But it's looking unlikely for a week or so...

So its your fault...you got the sun cream out thats done it for all of us.

Well i am just about ready to go but no way in hell i am going out in this :) i had planned to start 4th of April but may delay that a tad if it dont warm up any :)

As said by someone else the big sea's reduce the gill netters at sea so i guess thats the only plus.
