I had a walk along the pier saturday morning with my mate with the intention of fishing it ...as it happened the wind was in the wrong direction so we decided to fish the red light.....but I have to say the rubbish,packaging,huge amounts of disgarded line empty squid boxes and you can imagine all other types of rubbish ,makes the pier an absolute disgrace...the pier is a rubbish dump.... so haway lads when we have finished fishing cut up all disguarded line and take our rubbish home or dispose of it properly...do not give the "tree huggers who want to ban angling" any ammunition against our sport/hobby....there I,ll get off my high horse now

Few.month back i was on, it was a total disgrace, the drainage holes were all blocked so there was huge puddles, it stank, and the litter was a foot deep, its a shame its got so bad, the middleton is the worst pier for litter ive ever seen!

As far as I'm concerned, anglers who leave their rubbish lying around are RUBBISH ANGLERS
