Thanks alot for help yesterday kieth 'boblydon , definatley set on 3d and managed to download manual, spent all day with gps the boat is trailered in the garage and the gps still finds my position, ive loaded the north east map and tried zooming in to england and to the north east coast as it zooms in at 40miles from earth it looses the contours of england and just shows dots where ive previously been ,should it show the detailed north east map even though im inthe garage or will i need to be on the water, after pushing all sorts o buttons i managed to zoom in america somewhere and this showed all
coast and ground detail even roads and shops ect.. , also when i go through the menu to navionic map it says none stored even though i have the map card in, is it me or is it nackered ?

any comments most welcome

My chart plotter did the same thing. On one of the menu's you had to select the draw that the chart was in. I wouldn't have a clue how to do it again but it should be in you hand book somewhere.

thanks, these things are a night mare as you say you can get somewhere near and then exit by mistake and you cannot find your way back , ive read the manual but there arent many trouble shooting points for the gps side
just the sonar

the chart you have in the gps will probably be just that - a chart, so might not have any land features at all, just the coast outline - mine does anyway

i maybe but when i put the old sim in for north wales it shows all detail, ive since been told that the lowrance might not have accepted the new navionics map
