Looks like Darren has beat me to it regarding the report tonight. It was good meeting you and good luck on your upcoming fishing trip.
Might have reported sooner but I had about a dozen mackie to clean and fillet and decided to make some fish and chips with the only cod I managed tonight.
mackerel were everywhere, one of my mates bagged over 30 but other species were a bit thin on the ground and I thought the drift was quite strong. Lost a lot of braid last time out and just used mono tonight, found the feel very vague, got to get some more braid soon.
Fish of the night was caught by one of Darrens friends a ling of easily over 10lb well done M8
On the way back in Tony had to stop the boat twice as there were dolphin everywhere, It was great to see them surfacing right next to the boat and chasing us as we headed in. I am sure some would have paid the £15 just to see them, it really was a privelige to see so many.
All in all a good night out, still no where near a double figure fish although the cod I caught was foul hooked near the tail and felt like a monster as I reeled it in.
Introduced a couple of mates to boat fishing tonight and they loved it, reckon the next time I book there will be around 8 of us, it is catching.
Thanks to Tony for finding some fish, All the lads for making it a most enjoyable evening and finally I hope the bloke who brought the wrong butter tub thinking it was full of rag isnt in too much trouble
Cant believe its not butter well you had better because its ragworm you are spreading on your toast.
Sorry no photos especially of dolphins my phone battery died just as we left quays
Thanks for reading
