monday25th&tuesday26th slightly delayed but here

well on monday night i did decide to head up north thatks to a bit of advice and a few pointers from a few guys on here me and my mate went to whitley bay first just for a quick look nice couple breakers coming in but decided to goto blyth pier first got on the pier about 2000 first couple cast nothing 5th cast in a got my first codling all 6oz's of fish packed up about half past midnight and went to st marys lighthouse started off in crisps gully nothing to show for moved round to the back just past the gully had an hor or so there still not a thing so we decided to move further round and went beside a big pillar/post on the far right hand corner had a few casts still no fish until my last cast at about 0530 my tip just pulled straight round struck into what felt like a good fish but go stuck in one of the rocks ended up losing it after about 5mins of trying to free it decided to pack up and call it a night after that.....tuesday night got home after taking kids dancing and thoought why waste the bait i had left over (fresh blacks,razor&clam)so decided to head down to the huegh in hartlepool got there for about 2300 fished til 0030 had 1 bite in all that time lost my temper kicked my lug and frozen bait off the pier and packed in.....for me thats the end of a terrible season waste of time bait and effort

Daz should have kicked em my way mate. Felt like you last week but was raring to go after a week off. Fished Steetly last Tues-quiet but had a few fish-then Seaham on Wed. Hammered the whities and some big bu--ers.
You did well to try some diffo places mate-stick in-there is still time for a lunker and it will come when you least expect it.

thats its why its called angling and not catching!!! there will be fish there on sunday with these north winds. but you do know if theres a low presser the fish dnt bite its mad isnt. good luck for next time!

i read that thread mick you seemed rather f***ed off lol just how i felt come the end of tuesday night but i think i will be visiting st marys again like maybe try for the nice red cod in the summer but as far as this season goes i think mine is all over now will take another big freeze before i decide to head back out again i think just finished stripping ma reels give it a good cleaning along with ma rods got all ma gear cleaned up and put away its gonna take summit big for me to get it all back out again
