my 1st trip to old mill fishery

me and the bairn just had a 48 hour session at old mill in market rasen . the 1st night nothing at all not even a liner. the second day i had a take on a zig rig but lost it half way in. on the last night i had a take at about one oclock after a few miniute fight a nice 17lb8oz common in the net beating my previous pb by 8oz.

then this morn about 7 oclock i had another screamer after a bit of a fight a nice 24lb mirror graced my net another pb

both fish caught on slk boilies tipped with yellow fake corn....

Very nice fish there buddy, well done. Shame the cod couldn't be that 'common' and of that size!

Am still waiting to even wet a line on my carp gear, never used it yet

Am lacking two things there matey...

1. Transport (also a dunno where that/those lakes are)

2. I no longer have the knowledge I used to have (I was once well into me course fishing but have totally forgot now how to make carp rigs/methods, etc, etc...)
