Cod quotas in the North Sea are to be increased next year by 11%

What a load of short sighted phukking idiots these empty headed tw@ts really are.
Even the EU's own Scientific advisors are warning them and have done for a few years now of the catastrophy which will certainly follow if this is allowed to continue but will they listen?
NOT A CHANCE.

I even heard the British Jerk talking today on the news defending this insane decision saying it's in the interests of conservation.
WHAT PLANET DO THESE DEAD HEADS COME FROM? IS THIS A MONTY PYTHON SKETCH?

The ministers say the increased catch allowance is based on early signs of stock recovery.

There's no doubt at all they have signed a death warrant to North Sea Cod.

Yet another species about to become extinct.

hmmmnn not sure, have to wait and see how it pans out. I think the theory behind it is to increase quotas yet cut days at sea to try and reduce the amount of discards

its thought that with the reduced days at sea, the current discard, should equal the extra quota, so on paper only the same amount of fish will be caught

you can be sure there'll be a few commercials that'll try exploit it somehow though

less days at sea is gone mean they do 24 hour shifts,four,five hour hauls a day hauls a day with a few hours for shooting and hauling nets

five years time bet theres NO COD/Codling anywhere

prob wont even see a one in a shop unless farmed,then it'll be like the size of the bass they sell
