Depends on the river mate... Something like a flattie fanatic is ideal for light beach work but you couldnt fish with it at most marks in he tyne due to the strong tide pulls as it wouldn't be able to use a big enough weight to hold bottom. What marks do you normally fish? Also would depend on what kind of fish your after!
