Hi all,

Decided to take up sea fishing as i fished course as a kid n it bored me n sea fishing has always appealed.
Went fishing for the 1st time off Roker last sunday and caught.....A lobster (eh!?) It went for my bait and impaled my hook through it's claw.

Hey hum next time out hoping to catch a fish! Looking forward to enjpying the sport with other anglers.

All the best n happy hunting.

PS: whats the deal with the opening times on roker pier? Cant seem to find any.

No times just weather is the open or shut factor.

From Mill Hill in Sunderland. N' fish from Roker pier. Well I say that...
1st time spinning in oct off the end of it, awesome sunrise etc but caught sweet FA ofcourse (was using a heavy 8ft pier rod, couldnt get distance). 2nd time tried spinning from that jetty/launch thing down by the marina (the bit with the weird semi spheres), no height and shallow water meant caught sweet FA, that my amaturish attempt at a shock leader knot broke 2 eyes of the rod...

So! Over the last 4 months i been collecting/saving for my rod reel tackle box n bits n bobs etc and went fishing using my own rigs of Roker Pier properly and really enjoy it. I also watched alot of Totally awesome fishing/total sea fishing vids etc on youtube so arent starting out 'blind' as it where.
