Fished infront of the small steps, hell of a sea running caught 4 coalie about 1lb, 1 bass about 1lb 1/2 and 2 codling best 3lb 4oz. All caught on lug tipped with rag or squid.

couple of lads from work fished there lastnight and got nothing,think it was more bad luck than anything else as other people had fish nearby

can you still fish newbiggin prom i heard that they had put lots of boulders out there wish has killed that shot off?

They've also added thousands of tonnes of sand which has filled up the beach so it barely reaches the prom walls now. A lot of people fishing here recently as you're pretty much straight in to deep water now

Yer its the same as Hendon prom now, lots of boulders but you can still fish it "gaps in the steps" the sand has caused a change int he beach but nothing massive i find..i agree the water is deeper but life seems to have come back in good numbers.
