Fished newbiggin bay last night with my mate. The wind was awfull but we stuck it out for a few hours up to high water. He gt a lovely cod 5lb just before high tide after a cracking slackliner. I was just having one of those nights and was ready to pack in at high water then bang first bite of the night for me then loads of slack line which resulted in a 3lb codling. The fish were taking worm. Me mates fish was full of yellows which was a suprise at newbiggin bay lol

What's the ground like there ?

It's clean ground from about 200 yds south of lifeboat till about 100 yards south of the school mate but the bay can get really bad with weed
