What does Newbiggin bay fish like lads, the bay itself sort of in front of that statue or to the left, right of it? cheers in advance for any replys/advice.
There's a link called top spots on the website mate, it gives a guide to the surrounding marks. Never fished it myself but work around there at sea and the water is a good few metres deep to the north of the breakwater. rough ground and kelp but you'll have to compete with the potting gear.
Hey Mick! I fished to the right of of the breakwater as you look at it on the ebb once last winter and managed a few undersize fish! I think its a good shot with a bit sea running! There's rocks visible further to the right at low water as you look out and the I think the general advice is to fish between here and the edge of the right hand side of the breakwater.
hi i live local and fish this beach quite abit i always as said fish from the middle of the break water out at sea all the way to the right hand side up to the rock closer to the rocks you get the kelpier it get if you park at the school go straight down the big steps straight in front should be fine i tend to find it fishes best as the tide just starts to drop if you fancy the other end near the rnli station just fish straight infront of it i find best at low water at this end you can fish down there in just about all conditions but sometimes weed can be a problem you dont have to chuck far any were from about 40yds is fine as its a big drop off with a gully at the bottom of the slope hope this help.
