Fished down at Newbiggin last night 6 through till 10pm. was hopeful of a few fish as the sea had some movement about it.
Being fairly new to this we couldn't get where we normally go as there were guys there already and we fished too far to the right and got into some nasty snags. thanks to the guys fishing further along who corrected our mistake with some valuable local info about where not to fish!!!
Having moved i managed to get into a large flounder almost straight away and then not long after that i landed a nice 2.5lb cod. both fish caught on bunches of lugworm fished on pulley pennel rig about 100yards out. got swamped by a freakish wave which claimed all my bait so that was it for me, but the chap fishing further along got two cod 3lb and 6lb apparently.
Good too see some fish appearing at long last!!!
