Newbiggin prom

We have only fished it twice but since you have had no replies I thought I would give you our very limited knowledge. We fished high tide directly in front of the weird art structure. Further to the right has a crop of rocks which is snaggy but you could always go back at low tide and find your weights again!

We, well Lynn caught a plaice and a flounder and maybe a whiting, was a while ago!

We just parked right on the prom, maybe shouldn't have, but no one bothered us.

You won't be able to fish to prom as the tide does not reach it now. I like to fish the South end from about 2 hours after low water, keep about 100 yards away from the right hand side rocks. Vary your distance and at high water it is deep at about 20 yards. Over the past year I've caught cod, coalies, bass, plaice, flounder and whiting so there plenty to target. Turn right about 50 yards before the pedestrian crossing into a one way street at the end of it is a car park next to the tennis courts.

Hope this helps

The easiest place to park is on beach terrace.
theres a few parking spaces on the side streets leading to beach terrace.
the beach is just straight infront of here.
The beach is snaggy to the right, nest to the rocks and to the left..
Fishes best in a northerly.
Im from newbiggin but i havnt fished the beach much. I prefere the rocks.
The beach is deep but the daft council get diggers in every year in winter to level it off.
Best baits Lug and crab
Hope this helps
