newbiggin saturday night

had another run up to the beacons Saturday night with wallsendfisherman and ABZ the lads had been the a couple of hours before me as I couldn't get away from work till 5:30 but they hadn't had a fish. it was all pretty quiet with just the odd pull.
about 3 hours into the session I noticed my line fall back so I wound down a struck into my 1st fish of the night , infact it was my only fish of the night at 39cm the fish was size but it went back alive, wor lass is giving me wrong for taking up her freezer space with cod fillets hahaha.
almost every cast resulted in a bite for either one of us but no matter what rig/hook/hooksize there was just no more hook ups which was very annoying considering some of the takes were real lungers. fish only went for lug and rag cocktail, wouldn't touch mussel or squid or the runnydown.
both Stefan and abz blanked
very windy night and quiet cold but not much rain

Well done on the catch mate least u didnt blank (like me !) , was hard going In that wind but still good to be out all the same with some good crack . Shame we couldnt connect with them fish before it went dead but theres always nxt time :thumbup:
