Currently have a brand new unused Grey's Nitra sitting unused in the cupboard under the stairs... I'm considering a part ex to upgrade it to either a Daiwa Tournament X or a Century (poss a Kompressor Sport) has anybody had the pleasure of using these rods? If so I would appreciate any opinions or reviews on them before parting with my hard earned cash.

Thanks.

I have a compressor sport I have had it for 7 or 8 years cannot quite remember.
It is all I have used more or less for the last 7 or 8 years. It has been superb strong reliable and a pleasure to use.
Ive used it everywhere from rock marks in north Yorkshire to clean flat beaches in the south.
I can only find one thing that might not suit some anglers and that is that the tip is not the most sensitive but this is a very tiny thing in my eyes. It would only bother someone who is match fishing for small fish and I would use a softer rod for this anyway. So I can virtually guarantee you would not regret buying one.
I also go fishing with a friend who uses a tournament X which he is very happy with. but he is quite a good caster and it takes some bending. It also has the same minor fault as the compressor of the tip not being to sensitive.
Hope this helps.

if u go to north east tackles ant type in century g5 supa sport there is a write up on the rod and that will tell you how good the rod is mate;) ;)

Tried 1 before mate, much preferred the 13ft 6" carbon metal... the metal really did send a lead a long way.

Thanks for the offer though!
