Fished from 11:30 until 15:15 today, lush day to be fishing. It was somehow the first time I've ever fished the mark even though I was born and raised in Cullercoats (but it will definitely be fished again soon).
Bit of a slow start but about LW my mate pulled in a nicely coloured wrasse that came to 2lb exactly. I was extremely jealous as I haven't had one this year but about an hour later on the flood I pulled in a codling that came to 2.1lb.
Both fish looked heavier but there we are - the codling gave very little bite indication on the tip tornado either (thought it was crabs).
Wrasse fell to rag and codling to frozen peeler/mussel.
ps: didn't lose a single rig between us either. Good day all round.
