Anybody hooked, seen, caught, herd of any conger around these parts... shore, boat, even spotted by divers... so on and so forth.

Any info is appreciated.. :D thanks!

been a couple of conger caught in the last few years, one from Craster and one from Low Newton by the sea, not many people deliberatly target them round here so thats probs why they dont get mentioned often. Sure theres pics on nesa of them both if you do a search.

A mate of mine who dives, claimed he saw one with a head the same size as his as he ascended from a dive at Rumbling Kern in a crevice!

Still wouldn't be very happy staring face to face with a conger wi a head only 25% samller than his!
Yeah i know what you are saying but they are really quite passive in there inviroment if you dont spook them the are no problem they are nosey and stick their heads out but i never had one come out of their holes.:)

Think you have more chance of a jew given you a £50 note than catching one between Blyth and Seaham.

Head up Scotland, loads of straps up there....large mackerel biat one cast out and one down the side into any deep holes you can spot.

Me and my mate fished amble pier on 18th Sept last year and every cast a conger was coming in.

They were caught on rag tipped with makrel. Must of been breeding up the river. All around the 2lb mark.
