North Gare last night 24/02/10

Alright lads/lasses, My mate (fishfanatic) danny was fishing the north gare last night so i thought i would have a walk along to give my new sl12 a try and also try out a pair of bib and brace and a sundridge smock i have recently bought off a well known auction site. I got to the gare about 5pm ish and he was fishing on the lower level towards the end of the pier on the left hand side, i decided to stay and have a bit f crack etc as i havent fished my self in over a year now. We stayed till about 8.45pm and he managed 2 small codlin so he christened his new rod (shakespeare MX beach) and also broke his 2010 duck.

Baits Used- rag, squid and also razor

The north gare is in Hartlepool mate, search for the blue lagoon Hartlepool and it is about 5 min walk away from there park your car in the carpark at the lagoon (gate is locked on a night) and walk to the gare.

It is a closed pier because of the condition it is in but you can still walk on with no problem at all, if there is a big sea running then it isnt fishable because the waves come right over the pier and have been known to wash people off alone with peoples gear
