well, too rough to get out in my boat so I thought I would blow the cobwebs off my beach gear and have a few hours on north gare yesterday afternoon. Managed to get tucked in behind the wall on the ramp. it was rough but fishable. Anyway after a few hours of getting my hooks picked clean I asked myself when I actually caught a cod on this bloody pier then bugger me I got a bite and landed a 2lb codling which I returned and told him to tell his grandad I wanted a word. Had a few more casts and the odd knock but had to get back home. I enjoyed it though and looking forward to getting out again while the seas away.
