decided to try a different spot for flatties ,so i tried northside of the wear next to the alexandra bridge arrived at 7pm ,second cast had a small flounder,next cast resulted in a nice flounder of about 1.5lb ,at 35cm,s.
next few casts later resulted in another flounder at around the same size
few other bites later on but seem to be getting a few snags with the tide pulling stronger on the drop ,12.30am decided that was enough and headed off home.
all fish was took on fresh peeler tipped with small strip of mackerel,all fish was released to fight another day

Well done matey on your catch and especially releasing your fish. Just been down Roker from 6 till half eleven only had six mackeral and lost three not a lot getting caught, was down last nite and had over 40 mackeral and lots of herring double shots of herring as dusk was coming in. Going down tonight again for a bit of sport with lite rods, lots of boats went out today seen most of them close off the pier probablies getting there bait in (mackeral). I seen the Delta barbara, most of the boats were speeding out of the mouth of the river probablies going to the wrecks. I now a boat had 27 codling and 40 mackeral yesterday biggest codling being seven and a half pounds. Anyway good catch and well done.
