North Star goes East

got up early today after a Gin free evening ( my only day off ) to go out with Jim and Chris aboard North Star.....

off out early to calm waters and this little fellow

plan was to head over to skinningrove for the rough ground and target some wrecks on the way back

fishing was pretty slow but we were picking up codling all day, plenty went back and kept a few for the table

passed by TJ Gannet

ended up covering about 35-40mile

i need one of these.....but need some of these £££££

cracking day out.....

forgot to say....took a fish on a red head shad...firsh shad caught fish this year.....

Spent many a happy a day on north star out of whitby i skippered her as a charterboat for a few years after john uttley passed away she is a cracking sea
boat and belive me she has had some massive hauls of cod on here decks nice to see she is still doing chartering does she still have the hydrolic drive for the shaft.

Merc engine and hydraulic drive, it runs sweet as a nut.
Jim was saying there was 3 built and she is the last still afloat. lovely boat, coffee could be better but he'll get the hang of that.

camera is fujifilm fine pix s....

14mp, 18x zoom and takes canny pics of seals and stuff

it also does videos, and probably a lot more too

if only i'd read the manual...
